Marrakech – Top destination in the world

Morocco has long been a peaceful and popular gateway to the east. One of it’s most popular cities to visit is the city of Marrakech.

Marrakeck is the third largest city in Morocco and is less known that other cities such as Casablanca and Rabat. The city is located at the base of the Atlas Mountains and is not far from the Sahara Desert. The scorching Sahara Desert and the cold snow capped Atlas Mountains makes the contrasting scenery a brilliant place to visit.

The city of Marrakeck is broken up into two parts, similar to many other European cities. There is the old, historical city and the modern section.

The historical section is also called the Medina and consists of thousands of alley ways full of shops and lively atmosphere. The modern city is where you will find fine dining, modern hotels and fast food restaurants.

The beautiful city of Adelaide

One of the least known cities in Australia is the capital city of South Australia called Adelaide. Adelaide, although small, is one of the prettiest cities in the country. It is known as the city of churches since it has a large number of churches scattered around the city.

The city has a population of only one million which is small considering Australia’s population is over 22 million people. Adelaide has beautiful coastlines with golden sandy beaches. It also has well known wine regions such as Clare Valley, McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley. The great thing about travelling around Adelaide is that most attractions, including the wine regions are quite close and can be done in a day.

Another great place to visit is the city’s main beach called Glenelg. Glenelg has a beautiful beach, jetty and coastline architecture.

The Iconic is still making waves

One of those most innovative online fashion stores that Australia has every produced is The Iconic. The company which started as an idea between a bunch of like minded business  guys has transformed into a powerhouse online retailer in Australia.

The owners had felt that no online fashion retailer in Australia was doing an excellent job in selling fashion to consumers and therefore they identified a gap in the market that they wanted to fill.

The owners believed that to convince consumers to part with their hard earned cash on fashion online, they had to provide a few key things that would ensure the customer was willing to try their service.

They felt that free delivery was the first service they had to provide. Although goods are cheaper online, the savings can be swallowed up quickly if you have to pay for shipping on top of it. Secondly, they wanted to provide free returns. This would ensure that customers would try their service and were more willing to buy fashion online if there was no risk. The final thing was that they wanted to use promotional methods only available online, such as an Iconic coupon, to encourage users to purchase.

Implementing all of these ideas has lead to The Iconic being one of the most successful online retailers Australia has ever seen.

LMVH fashion and leather disappoints investors

One of the biggest luxury brands in the world, LMVH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) has disappointed investors by reporting sales growth that did not meet the expectations. In fact, the quarterly sales growth of the leather division was the slowest reported since 2009. The leather division’s strongest brand Louis Vuitton and is one of their most important brands.

Although the company’s sales of the Louis Vuitton brand has slowed, the company is on a mission to slow down expansion of the brand worldwide and increase it’s exclusivity to prevent devaluation of the brand. This move is expected to increase the image of the brand and ensure it remains upmarket.  This strategy is successfully employed by Hermes and has ensured that their popular bags have a wait of over a year if you want one and costs more second hand than it does new.

LMVH has said that sales in Asia and the US are strong however the economic uncertainty in Europe has slowed growth dramatically in that region.
