Stanley Pitt (1925-2002) created Silver Starr and the Flameworld as a colour comic strip for Sydney’s Sunday Sun newspaper during 1946-48.

Arguably the most visually stunning comic strip of its era, Silver Starr was reprinted as a series of comic books by Young’s Merchandising Co. in Sydney, using altered versions of the original artwork.
