Created and written by Sal Lima, Zxenith is the story of Emma Lowe, a young woman destined to become the new ‘Zxenith’, guardian of the world’s mystic energies and most powerful human conduit between the mortal and mystical planes.

Sal Lima, a Victorian writer, was inspired to create a credible comic heroine, something rare in the comic book world. As he explains: 'I've got three daughters myself [and] it would be nice to even things a little bit here . . . and I think the best heroes are people who have to find the strength and courage from the inside, rather than [relying on] gadgets that are going to solve any problems . . . Powers and resources can help you so far, but, in the end, it's the person you are that is going to save the day and help you overcome the odds - not your super-powers.'
