Almanach Royal

Author unknown

1785

The Almanach Royal contains information such as the births, deaths and political alliances of the royalty of Europe; names of various Abbeys, with revenue and tax details, and names and details of all people of importance at the time, from administrative officials to painters and sculptors.

This copy of the Almanach Royal, published by D'Houry in Paris, is a fine example of 18th century French binding.

It is bound in French crimson morocco, with the sides completely covered with floral decorations in gold. In the centre of both the front and back covers is the coat of arms of François-Samuel Le Vassor de la Touche.
