If you're in Melbourne, why not drop into the State Library of Victoria and take a look at the Mirror of the World: books & ideas exhibition.
Located in the galleries which encircle the magnificent La Trobe 'Domed' Reading Room, this permanent free exhibition features many of the items that you have seen on this website.
Originally opening in December 2005, the exhibition showcases the best of the Library's rare, beautiful and historically significant books. It provides a spectacular overview of the history of book production, design and illustration, with over 205 books drawn from the Library's internationally-renowned Rare Books Collection.
The Mirror of the World exhibition is open every day from 10am to 5pm, including public holidays (except Good Friday and Christmas Day).
The Library is in the centre of Melbourne's bustling central business district. Look at the Library's satellite map for the exact location.
